Visiting ELS at Horse Haven at Bear Creek is a perfect activity for kids groups – like Daisies, Brownies, Girl & Boy Scouts, Campfire Kids and youth groups. It’s fun, safe and educational. We have group programs for all ages to teach kids about horse behavior and care!
Activities include:
- Safety rules and a tour of the facility to meet the horses
- Age appropriate learning activities on different horse topics
- “Mini-lessons”
- Feeding the horses carrots (provided by the group).
We can also tailor activities to your particular group if you have learning or activity requirements. Just call or email for more information.
Homeschoolers:
At ELS we support homeschool education. Through a variety of creative classes and lessons, we combine fun and learning to enhance your homeschool curriculum. Our staff is educated in human & equine science and are happy to work with families to provide a unique learning experience.
For older kids we also offer A Course in Equine Leadership & Responsibility for Homeschooled Tweens & Teens. This 10-Week course is designed to complement traditional middle and high school curriculum by teaching leadership and personal responsibility to students age 11 – 18. Create a fun and memorable event at our barn, Horse Haven at Bear Creek. Perfect for a company picnic, birthday party, motivational event or any reason to get a family or group together. Our people and horses are friendly and helpful, and our ranch is clean, environmentally friendly, educational and fun!
Our summer program for businesses and groups includes a “Build-Your-Own- Activity” plan unique in this area.
We offer the following:
- A large, beautiful park-like field for picnic tables & outdoor activities
- Catered from local restaurants
- Horse related fun for all ages including pony rides & mini-bareback lessons (weight and proportion restrictions apply)
- Pony photos and games for the kids
- Dance lessons

ELS loves to support our local community. We have put together some fun-filled fundraising events that have raised money, food and clothing for those humans and horses in our area that desperately need our help. If you support a charity that would like to organize a big event, we will help you.
